Annie + Andrew // Kicking Horse Wedding // Kimberley Wedding Photographer

Annie and Andrew’s wedding was one of those days we’ll be smiling about for a long time. These two tied the knot way up in the mountains at Kicking Horse Resort — the perfect place for a couple who lives for ski season, trail runs, and alpine views.

Now, let’s talk about the weather. It rained hard all morning — like, “is this a wedding or a waterfall?” kind of rain. At a certain point, we were all just laughing. But somehow, just minutes before the ceremony, the skies cleared and the rain stopped like it had never happened. Just in time. And from that moment on, it was all sunshine and magic.

With the gondola still out of service, we made our way up the mountain on chair lift —the views from the top? Still absolutely stunning. Annie and Andrew were total troopers, soaking in every second (and yes, we had to get some running shots for the one and only “Round the Mountain” champ herself — she nailed it, wedding dress and all).

After the mountaintop photos, everyone gathered for a cozy, delicious dinner that felt more like a big family dinner party than a formal reception. And once the music started, the dance floor never stopped. From the first song to the very last call, people were dancing. We even managed to sneak Annie and Andrew out for a few golden hour photos just as the sun dipped behind the peaks — but not before a few skotskis (rumor has it, even grandma joined in for a shot — legend!).

Annie and Andrew — thank you. Thank you for braving the weather, rolling with the changes, and trusting us to capture your day. But mostly, thank you for being such kind, grounded, joyful people. It was a day full of love, laughs, and so much heart — and we feel lucky to have been a part of it.

Here’s to a lifetime of adventure together. We have no doubt the mountains will always be part of your story.
