Aidan & Jack’s Mountain Elopement — A Perfect October Day

Aidan and Jack’s intimate mountain wedding was the kind of day photographers dream about. Their three-hour elopement package was absolutely jam-packed in the best way: stunning bridal portraits at Lake Minnewanka, a heartfelt ceremony at the Mount Norquay Lookout, and a relaxed happy hour celebration at the Juniper Hotel.

For an October wedding in the Rockies, we were all expecting crisp air and layers—but instead, we were gifted with sunshine and heat! It felt more like a golden summer afternoon than mid-fall, making it the perfect backdrop for a cozy, intentional elopement.

Lake Minnewanka Bridal Portraits

We started the day at Lake Minnewanka, where the warm light danced across the water and the mountains framed every shot beautifully. Aidan and Jack were naturals in front of the camera—full of joy, laughter, and sweet moments that made documenting their love story effortless. Their sweet dog joined us as well, adding even more personality (and a few adorable photobombs!) to the portraits. The lake was calm, the sun was glowing, and the entire scene came together like it was meant to be.

Mount Norquay Lookout Ceremony

From there, we made our way up to the Mount Norquay Lookout for their ceremony. The views were breathtaking, but honestly, the emotions between these two outshone even the mountains. Their vows were full of heart, and it left everyone a little misty-eyed—myself included. I may or may not have blinked away tears behind the camera.

Happy Hour at the Juniper Hotel

After the “I do’s,” we wrapped up the celebration with a relaxed happy hour at the Juniper Hotel. It was the perfect way to wind down—good drinks, warm sun, and the newlyweds soaking in those first just-married moments.

Customizing Elopements for What Matters Most

For elopements, we customize each package to fit our couples and what matters most to them. For Aidan and Jack, one photographer for three hours was exactly the right choice. It gave us just the right amount of time to capture everything that was important—special locations, heartfelt vows, and quiet moments.
