Kristen & Travis’ wedding day was one of those celebrations that feels classic, joyful, and deeply personal all at once—the kind you wish you could rewind and experience again.

Their day began at a gorgeous church in Calgary, and wow… the stained glass. From the moment you stepped inside, the light pouring through those windows set the tone for something truly special. As Kristen walked down the aisle, the colors dancing across the walls (and her dress!) made the ceremony feel timeless and sacred in the best way. There was so much emotion, so many quiet smiles and happy tears, and a real sense of this is it between these two.

After the ceremony, we headed to Heritage Park for the reception at the iconic Wainwright Hotel, and the vibe shifted seamlessly into fun, celebration mode. The reservoir made the most beautiful backdrop for bridal portraits—soft light, open skies, and that peaceful Calgary landscape we all love. Add in the classic Heritage Park buildings, and every corner felt like it was made for photos. Historic, charming, and full of character.

One of the absolute standout details of the day was their 1950s-style float bar during happy hour. It was beyond adorable and a total hit with guests—root beer floats, vintage flair, and lots of smiles all around. It fit the Heritage Park setting perfectly and added such a playful, nostalgic touch to the day.

Kristen and Travis also brought the fun to dinner with a hilarious and interactive idea: to decide which table would be served first, they (along with their bridal party) reenacted famous movie kissing scenes, while guests guessed which one it was. The laughter was nonstop, the energy was high, and it was such a uniquely them way to get everyone involved. Easily one of those moments people will still be talking about years from now.

And once the formalities wrapped up? The party was pumping. The dance floor was packed, the music was loud, and everyone was fully in celebration mode. You could feel how much love surrounded Kristen and Travis—not just from each other, but from every single person there to celebrate them.

One thing that was really important to Kristen and Travis was getting photos in the mountains. Wedding days move fast, and with a full timeline already in place, we decided the best way to do this was to plan a day-after shoot in Canmore. Honestly? Best. Decision. Ever.

With some of the bridal party and family being from out of town, they invited them along too, which turned it into this relaxed, joyful extension of the wedding celebration. We captured more bridal party photos, family photos, and of course, some absolutely stunning portraits of Kristen and Travis surrounded by those iconic Rocky Mountain views. No rush, no pressure—just fresh air, epic scenery, and a whole lot of love.

Kristen & Travis, your wedding was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, thoughtful details, and pure fun. From stained glass vows to float bars, historic backdrops to mountain peaks—it was an honor to capture it all. Congratulations to you both, and thank you for trusting us to tell your story.
